Meet Our JIU-JITSU HUB INSTRUCTORS
At Jiu Jitsu Hub, great instruction is the foundation of everything we do. Our instructors are not only highly skilled practitioners, but dedicated educators who understand how to teach Jiu-Jitsu in a way that is safe, structured, and accessible for students of all experience levels.
JOSH WYLAND
Jiu Jitsu Hub was founded by Joshua Wyland out of a lifelong passion for Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling. As Head Instructor, Josh brings a rare combination of high-level competitive experience and thoughtful coaching to every class.
HEAD INSTRUCTOR

Josh is a world-class Jiu-Jitsu competitor and wrestler with years of experience training and competing at the highest levels of the sport. His background allows him to break down complex techniques into clear, practical concepts that students can actually apply—regardless of size, age, or athletic background.
As an instructor, Josh is known for his attention to detail, calm leadership, and commitment to student safety. His goal is not just to produce skilled grapplers, but confident, disciplined individuals who enjoy the learning process and progress consistently over time.
THERESA BLAZ
Theresa Blaz brings more than 15 years of martial arts experience to Jiu Jitsu Hub. She holds a purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and a black belt in Superfoot Wallace Kickboxing, giving her a well-rounded understanding of movement, control, and discipline.
ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR

Theresa is especially skilled at working with beginners and youth students, creating an environment that feels supportive, encouraging, and structured. Her teaching style emphasizes fundamentals, safety, and confidence-building, helping students feel comfortable while still being challenged.
Her experience across multiple martial arts disciplines allows her to connect with students of all backgrounds and guide them toward steady improvement.

JDawg is an amazing wrestling coach who has helped many athletes, young and old, to sharpen their skills for jiujitsu. His gym is also a great space to train at. It’s so peaceful out there, away from the noise, very personal and always great rolls.
